When God makes you aware of some unconfessed sin or some deeply hidden flaw, He is doing so because He is ready to act in your life. He is ready to move you forward toward holiness – toward the image of Jesus Christ.
He does not reveal your sin or flaw to condemn you. He loved you before you were aware of the sin, and He loves you now. In fact, it is precisely because He loves you that He brought it to the surface. Through confession and repentance your relationship with the Father grows more intimate and more satisfying.
