It’s a Georgia summer alright. Temperature first thing this a.m. was 84 degrees. It will get close to triple digits again!
I’m back to blogging. I’ve missed it, but took a break to get other things done. So, how shall we get started? How about a review of the key insights from yesterday? The message was based on John 21:1-19. The resurrected Jesus appears to His disciples, but the story is focused on Jesus’ interaction with Peter. It is quite dramatic. Give it a read. Okay, here are the key insights I gleaned from the Scripture (and I know there are plenty more) –
- Love of Christ is the proper motivation for obedience and faithfulness.
- To love Jesus is to care about what He cares about.
- Sometimes the process of being refined by God is painful, but it is always for God’s glory and our ultimate good.
- Your mistakes do not have to disqualify you for Kingdom service.
