In preparing for Sunday’s message, Jesus’ words recorded in Matthew 6:34 spoke to me once again:  “Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself.  Each day has enough trouble of its own.” We can also shout a hearty “Amen!” after that last part!

Worry seems to be a natural part of life.  It is so easy to fret over things – many of which we have no control whatsoever.  But worry is draining and most often unproductive.  Worry is a waste of time.  It’s borrowing trouble.

Deal with today’s trouble today – not by worry but by prayer and action. If we could spend the time in prayer and effort that we spend in worry, our lives would be better, happier, and freer – and we’d get a lot more done…today.
