You’ve Been Hurt

You have been hurt by someone you trusted. Sadly, it is an all-too-common occurrence. Take care that your hurt does not grow into bitterness. Bitterness is a dark and lonely road filled with thorns and haunted by shadows. A better path is to enter into the throne room of grace. There you will behold the glory of the Father and the wounds of the Son. There the Spirit will impress upon you the magnitude of God’s forgiveness of your every sin. There you can confess your hurt and place it into the nail-scarred hands of the Savior who understands hurt the way no one else could. There you can begin to find the strength to forgive. Your feet can travel the road to bitterness or the pathway of grace. Which shall it be today?
